The joys of being a commuter

A staff meeting that overran by half an hour meant finishing work at 17.30 today.
Not such a bad thing, except that the train after the one I normally catch leaves at 17.35 – my current recrd for getting from the office to the station is 7 minutes and this still invokes a further 2 minutes to reach the relevant platform.
So catching a train an hour later than normal means getting home an hour layer than normal.
It’s funny how 30 minutes has a knock on adding up to an hour and a half in travelling time.
In defence if the meeting itself, it did fire the team up to defend our use of Firefox over IE6 and also to force us into developing a presentation for the senior management so that we may enlighten them to the benefits of our current working practices.
The desirable outcome still seems a but unobtainable, but the passion to get our point across will surely gout or something?
We shall see…
